My experience as an editor includes providing copy editing, developmental editing, BETA reading, and book reviews. I have worked with numerous publishers, including New Harbinger Publications, Autumn House Press, and Small Harbor Press. With a background in mental health from being a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas for ten years, I have a special place in my heart for mental health nonfiction books. I also love working on poetry and fiction.
About Me
I was born and raised in Texas, but I have strong roots in New England. My husband and I were married on a magical, crisp, Vermont autumn day.
I have four pets: a dog and three cats. They are all aptly named after fictional characters.

Halloween is my favorite holiday and fall is my favorite season. I love horror movies and books and I have Halloween decor as every day decor.
Searching for vintage vinyl records is one of my favorite past times. Throw in a bookstore, coffee, a good thunderstorm, and it’s a perfect day.
I love creating things. I enjoy embroidery, painting, sketching, and handwriting. I recently bought a sewing machine and am teaching myself how to make my own clothes…which has been both fun and infuriating. Sewing is hard!
My all time favorite book is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. I read it once a year. Other favorites include Little Women, The Great Gatsby, Mexican Gothic, Rebecca, and The Hunger Games trilogy. I also love poetry; my favorite poets include Sandra Cisneros, Ada Limón, Joy Harjo, and Hala Alyan.
My favorite color is purple.
I have too many tattoos to count…and am still going. Sorry, Mom.
I received my yoga teacher training certificate in 2016. I don’t teach anymore (thanks, COVID) but I still love the practice.
(And that’s why my email has the word “yoga” in it.)
I am a millennial at heart who misses LiveJournal and MySpace—I still love a good selfie. Let’s connect!
